TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATIONS SEPTEMBER 5

WE HAD AN EXCITING TEACHERS' DAY CELEBRATION ON SEPTEMBER 5. FOR THE FIRST TIME THE CHILDREN PLANNED AND EXECUTED THE WHOLE EVENT! IT WAS AN EXCITING DAY OF FUN, GAMES, GAMES AND GIFTS FOR THE TEACHERS!
the teachers were welcome at the main entrance by the students , one by one...




all the teachers were then presented with fresh rose flowers-red for the ladies and yellow roses for the men!
No, I haven't dozed off...

some of the girls put up a great dance sequence...






the Nursery and Kindergarten classes put up an actions song...even Leah joined in...

the students had planned to rope in all the teachers to dance to the tune of chak-de India...I had placed a waged and lost...all of them did join in with the students for a jig!! 





Grade 4 gave us a special surprise by decoration their classroom in a special way!




I received a special gift from the students...a jumbo sized Teachers Day card!!!

 Darren (teaches drums) was not to be left behind...
 the games included trying to break an earthen pot - blindfolded!

 passing the parcel (stopping with a pause in the music) had wonderful games...like tying the hair of the student with the longest hair...
 ...or trying to play the guitar...our nursery teacher had no clue how to strum this guitar...
 Sabrina (Kindergarten teacher) did better in tying a knot on a students'tie...
 ...having to cry like a baby!

 ...gifts for the teachers....


AT THE END OF THE DAY, IT WAS A DAY WELL SPENT WITH THE STAFF AND CHILDREN...FEELS GOOD WHEN TEACHERS ARE SHOWN EXPRESSIONS OF LOVE, GRATITUDE AND ARE HONORED BY THEIR STUDENTS!
