Mother Teressa once wrote: ...what you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway...In the final analysis, it is between you and God. It was never between you and them anyway...The nightmare began on Tuesday, March 20 at around 3 p.m. Officials of the Child Welfare Committee descended on the Hope Home along with a Magistrate accusing us of keeping boys and girls in the same facilities thereby endangering the lives of the children! That we have applied for a license 5 years back and never heard from the concerned department cut no ice. A former inmate even accused me of misconduct  (and worse). The girls were taken away for the night and then rehoused in a government sponsored home for girls.The boys were then taken away a week later. They were then systematically subjected to psychological harassment and offered better facilities elsewhere!

I salute Ruth and Sumila, who by virtue of being over 19 years, volunteered to stay with the other girls, especially Leah till some arrangement was made for them. Pray for the safety and security of the girls and boys (Grace, Salomi, Guria, Dolon and Philip have been released  thus far), pray for emotional and spiritual healing, pray for forgiveness to overflow in the hearts of everyone, pray for God's grace and mercy to abound in these critical times...
