COOKING WOES IN CALCUTTA..AND OUR PREDICAMENT :-(

COOKING GAS (LPG) IN INDIA IS SOLD IN CYLINDERS (16/19 KGS). TILL LAST MONTH WE PAID RUPEES 410 (LITTLE OF $ 8) PER CYLINDER. WITH TODAY'S PRICE RISE, IT WOULD COST US AROUND RUPEES 1100 ( $ 21) FOR EACH CYLINDER. I AM DUMBSTRUCK AND FLABBERGASTED...WONDERING HOW TO COPE WITH OUR FOOD COSTS FOR THE 24 PERSONS WHO ARE PART OF HOPE HOME CALCUTTA FAMILY (HAVING DAILY MEALS) NOW...

TOMORROW THE CHURCH WE ATTEND - ST. PAUL'S CATHEDRAL WOULD CELEBRATE THEIR 165th  DEDICATION SUNDAY. THEY HAVE ASKED OUR CHILDREN TO PARTICIPATE: ROHIT(NOAH) AND RANJIT (JONAH) WOULD PLAY A DUET ON THE CLASSICAL GUITAR AND VIOLIN, GURIA WOULD DO A WORSHIP-DANCE AND THE OTHER KIDS WOULD SING! SUCH AN HONOR FOR THEM AND WE ARE EXCITED!
